Bemab

Background

BEMAB Mark och Utemiljö AB was a Swedish contractor specialising in earthworks, groundwork and construction services for both private and commercial clients. The company operated a diverse fleet of excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, service vehicles and other construction equipment.

BEMAB was declared bankrupt, resulting in the insolvency administration seeking a reliable solution for the company’s movable assets as well as the complete clearance of the premises.

Equipment highlights

The available assets comprised a broad range of well-maintained construction and earthmoving equipment from leading international manufacturers.

Key equipment included: VOLVO EW160 excavator, VOLVO EC220DL excavator, WACKER NEUSON ET90 excavator, CATERPILLAR 906M wheel loader, various additional excavators and wheel loaders, trucks and service vehicles, construction equipment, tools and related inventory.

Transaction

The insolvency administration was looking for a reliable and proactive project management partner capable of providing a complete solution for the movable assets while ensuring the property could be cleared within a limited timeframe.

PIPM purchased all movable assets and remaining stock directly from the insolvency administration. To facilitate an efficient sales and clearance process, PIPM also entered into a short-term rental agreement with the property owner, taking responsibility for the site until completion of the project.

Procedure

Immediately following the acquisition, PIPM initiated an intensive international remarketing campaign. By combining its extensive network of construction equipment buyers with targeted remarketing tools, the assets were quickly introduced to relevant end-users and traders across multiple markets.

At the same time, PIPM coordinated the complete logistical process, working closely with its established network of dismantling, loading and international transport partners. This integrated approach enabled the machinery, vehicles, stock and remaining assets to be sold and removed efficiently within a short timeframe.

Result

Within just four months, all movable assets and stock had been successfully sold and removed from the premises.

PIPM subsequently delivered the property completely empty and broom clean, fulfilling its commitments to both the insolvency administration and the property owner. The project was completed within the agreed timeframe and to the full satisfaction of all parties involved, demonstrating PIPM’s ability to combine asset acquisition, international remarketing, logistics and complete site clearance within one turnkey solution.
