Corden Pharma

Background

Corden Pharma, a major player in the pharmaceutical sector, operated a production facility in Brussels employing approximately 100 people. Corden Pharma has leading expertise in the manufacturing of complex peptides, the production of lipids for mRNA vaccines and its global CDMO network. The Corden Pharma site in Brussels was located on the Solvay campus. They ceased operations at the site and were looking for a buyer to sell all the assets. PIPM promptly made an offer to acquire the equipment located on-site.

Equipment highlights

The site was equipped with state-of-the-art production equipment, laboratories, and storage areas including numerous reactors, tanks, mixers, exchangers, filter-driers-dryers, evaporators, freeze-driers, sterilizers, pilot units, LCMS, HPLC, rotary evaporators, autoclaves, safety hoods, etc.

Transaction

PIPM acquired the complete equipment inventory directly from Corden Pharma as part of their site closure process.

Procedure

Leveraging its international network of industrial buyers, sector-specific remarketing tools, and trusted partners for dismantling and global logistics, PIPM successfully sold more than 1300 assets in just five months. PIPM also assisted Corden Pharma in managing internal equipment transfers.

Result

Corden Pharma were very satisfied with the services provided by PIPM, which complied with the terms of the contract. PIPM was able to deliver an empty and cleaned site within the agreed deadlines, while ensuring the safety for all personnel and stakeholders present on-site.
