Food processing
EDEKA
The large food chain EDEKA had previously bought a number of business units from Kaiser’s Tengelmann, including a meat processing plant with some 90 employees in North Rhine-Westphalia. This company had to be closed down due to overcapacity.
The main assets: thermoforming packaging lines, vacuum fillers, ham packaging machines, tumblers, cooking chambers, packaging lines, and other meat processing equipment.
Within 4 months, PIPM sold all 500 assets, dismantled them, and loaded them onto the buyers’ trucks. The premises were left broom clean. The smokehouses were also sold and removed.
