Pharmaceutical and laboratory

Gifrer

Background

Gifrer, a renowned pharmaceutical company, manufactured a wide range of products at its Décines site. Following a strategic reorganization, the company embarked on a process of industrial divestment.

Equipment highlights

The site had an attractive range of machinery: filling lines (STONE & ZALKIN), packaging lines (CAM, OZAF, ROMMELAG, MARCHESINI, DATAMATRIX, VALOREL, ZERMA), as well as a complete set of laboratory and process equipment. This high-quality equipment represented significant value on the second-hand pharmaceutical equipment market.

Transaction

As part of this divestment, Gifrer launched a call for tenders for the valuation of its assets. PIPM won this competitive process by providing a turnkey solution focused on speed of execution and optimization of the value of the equipment.

Procedure

Drawing on its international network of specialist buyers and trusted partners for dismantling and logistics, PIPM orchestrated all stages of the project: detailed inventory, professional dismantling, transport organization, and resale of assets. Thanks to its expertise in remarketing, the machinery was successfully repositioned on the second-hand equipment market.

Result

In 11 months, the Décines site was completely cleared, cleaned, and returned to its owners. The equipment found a new lease of life with manufacturers in the sector, demonstrating PIPM’s ability to transform divestment into a real opportunity for value creation.
