Background

This major player in the plastic granules market bought a financially troubled industrial group that produced plastic film, plastic bags and, in a secondary factory, paper bags.

Equipment highlights

The equipment consisted of a mix of older plastic film extrusion lines of Italian brands and some modern used flexographic printing presses, together with many related devices.

Transaction

The purpose of the acquisition was to restructure and create liquidity through the sale of unused assets. The new owner selected our offer because of our previous track record in reselling second-hand equipment for production and printing of plastic films and bags.

Procedure

PIPM using its very extensive international network of buyers, intelligent remarketing tools within this sector and network of dismantling and international transport partners, sold all the assets within a short term and respected the tight timeframes set by the owner of the real estate.

Result

The sale of the equipment from both factories took place within the tight deadline set by the entrepreneur. He was then able to put the real estate of one of the two factories up for sale.
