Medical and hospital
I.Ceram
Background
I.Ceram, a recognized specialist in manufacturing innovative ceramic-based medical implants, has been placed in judicial liquidation. With its unique expertise in the biomedical field, the company designed and produced devices for hospitals and healthcare providers in France and internationally. This situation led to a process of industrial divestment.
Equipment highlights
The site had high-precision equipment: a DMG MORI ULTRASONIC 20 SAUER 5-axis CNC machining center (2015), a STUDER S242 combined grinding/turning machine, a CERINOV automatic polishing and deburring machine (2015), and a complete set of specialized equipment. These assets represented a rare opportunity on the used biomedical equipment market.
Transaction
As part of the judicial liquidation and in accordance with Article L642-19 of the French Commercial Code, PIPM France acquired the entire machine park by mutual agreement. This operation ensured the rapid and optimal valuation of I.Ceram’s assets.
Procedure
With its expertise in international remarketing, PIPM managed the entire process: exhaustive inventory, professional dismantling, logistical organization, and targeted resale to qualified buyers. Each step was handled smoothly, allowing the equipment to reach the used equipment market within a short time frame.
Result
In just four months, the site was completely cleared, cleaned, and restored to a condition that met the requirements of the judicial liquidation. The machines found a new lease on life with specialized manufacturers, demonstrating PIPM’s ability to transform a complex divestiture into an operational success and value creation.
