Itron

Background

In November, PIPM acquired the equipment located in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, previously owned by Itron France. Itron designs and manufactures advanced technological solutions for energy management, public infrastructure and smart metering services across various sectors, including energy, water, and gas, notably with electric meters like “Linky.”

Equipment highlights

Approx. 800 lots including very well-maintained Test & Measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Multimeters, Receivers, Signal Generators, etc. The sale was also featuring an Anechoic Chamber, Climatic Chambers, Manufacturing Equipment (robots and lasers), Maintenance Workshop, Packaging, Forklift and Pallet Trucks and much more.

Transaction

Itron issued a call for tenders to take over the equipment, to which PIPM responded. Itron required that the equipment be removed quickly and safely, a condition that PIPM fully met in managing the project.

Procedure

Thanks to its international network of buyers, intelligent remarketing tools in this sector and it’s network of dismantling and international transport partners, PIPM successfully sold all the assets within a very short period.

Result

PIPM completed the project within 3 months and left the facility completely cleared.
