Sibell

Background

Based in Aubagne, near Marseille, Sibell was a company renowned for producing traditional crisps and snacks. Following judicial liquidation, the collective proceedings had to find a quick and secure solution to maximize the value of its production facilities.

Equipment highlights

The factory had a large fleet of machines, including: a shrimp chips production line (250–300 kg/hour), a classic chips production line (600–1000 kg/hour), a popcorn production line (100 kg/hour), and several packaging lines.

These high-capacity industrial assets immediately attracted the interest of specialist buyers in Europe and internationally.

Transaction

PIPM France acquired the entire fleet of equipment as part of the judicial liquidation, based on Article L642-19 of the French Commercial Code authorizing private treaty purchases. This acquisition secured the recovery of the equipment and ensured its optimal valuation.

Procedure

Thanks to its global network of buyers, its expertise in remarketing, and its trusted logistics partners, PIPM managed the operation from start to finish: accurate inventory, professional dismantling, transport organization, and complete site cleanup. Each step was managed smoothly and efficiently, transforming a shut-down site into a valuable opportunity.

Result

In just five months, the site was completely cleared and cleaned up, in line with the requirements of the judicial liquidation. The production lines found a new lease of life in new markets, confirming PIPM’s ability to offer rapid, turnkey solutions that generate value.
