Background

This large dairy group closed its ice cream factory in Bavaria with about 200 employees.

Equipment highlights

These included ice production lines, freezers, tanks, chillers, and packaging machines. Some of the production lines were restricted to be sold in certain countries, which made the job even more challenging.

Transaction

PIPM bought all the assets and signed a contract to deliver the site free of all production equipment. Quite a job, with all the steel pipelines and conveyor belts running through several buildings over five floors and a bridge running across the main street.

Procedure

Within 9 months, we sold more than 2,000 assets around the world, within the sales restrictions, and disposed of them all. As this was a very complex process from an organisational point of view, due to all the different buildings and floors, we also organised the dismantling. The buyers only had to send a truck to pick up the equipment.

Result

The property was handed back completely empty and broom clean to full satisfaction of all parties involved.
