EWP Windtower AB

Background

ENERCON is one of the world’s leading companies in the wind energy sector. In the course of restructuring measures, the production of EWP windtower AB in Landskrona, Sweden, was closed. Towers for wind turbines were manufactured at this site.

Equipment highlights

Among others (e.g. KALMAR container stackers), the assets were very special machines for the production of the large tower components, like MESSER GRIESHEIM OMNIMAT plasma cutting lines, ROUNDO PASSO heavy duty plate benders and a SCITEEX shot blasting line.

Transaction

PIPM purchased the surplus assets in this project in compliance with Swedish regulations.

Result

Despite tight deadlines, all machines and equipment were dismantled and removed from site within the agreed timeframe.
